Hoy en Sevilla

Hoy hemos estado en Sevilla. Nos ha hecho un día impresionante como se puede ver en las fotos. Eso si, había muchísima gente.

Todo está ya preparado para la Semana Santa.

En las iglesias ya están las imagenes preparadas para procesionar. Nosotros hemos estado en unas cuantas iglesias, como en San Judas Tadeo.

Nos ha hecho mucha gracia este grupo de la foto de abajo.

Today we've been in Sevilla. The weather was the best possible not cold and not hot which in Sevilla is just wonderful. Lots of people visiting Sevilla. A week from today will be Easter which is a very important festivity in Sevilla. One can already visit the churches and see the Virgins and Christ that will go around the city next week.

Navidades Blancas (White Christmas) 2014

Este año he pasado las navidades en Suiza con toda mi familia. Ha sido increible. Además de poder ver a mi hermano  y cuñada  hemos podido disfrutar de mis sobrinos a los que no veíamos desde marzo. Para completar la postal navideña hemos tenido nieve!!

Para nosotros que no vemos nunca nieve en Málaga  ha sido genial porque hemos podido ver estampas como las que veis en estas fotos. Ha sido precioso pasear por bosques y caminos nevados.

Con los niños hemos ido con los trineos. Ni que decir que tienen mucha práctica.

El día de año nuevo mi hermano nos llevo a todos a un sitio en las montañas cerca de su casa. Mientras los niños se quedaba con los trineos nosotros subimos andando hasta la cima. El paseo fue una gozada y las vistas espectaculares.

El sitio donde comimos era muy típico y la comida muy buena.  Por cierto que para sentarnos fuera tuvimos que desenterrar de la nieve la mesa y los bancos con ayuda de una pala. 

Y hemos tenido tiempo para muchas otras cosas como por ejemplo ir al zoo con los niños.

Los pinguinos son los que mejor estaban con el fresquito que hacia.

Por poco se me olvida comentar que el zoo es el de Basilea (Basel) que es donde vive mi familia en Suiza. 

Han sido unas navidades magníficas que nunca olvidaremos.

This year for New Years Eve we went to visit my brother and his family in Swizterland. It's been incredible. The whole family was together, being the best part my niece and nephew whom we hadn't seen since march, and the next best thing was that it snowed the same day we arrived. And for us it is really special as we never see snow in Málaga. We had the best time ever. We got to play a lot with the children, we walked in the snow which was quite beautiful, we even visited the zoo (Basel) and my brother took all of us to the montains where we were able to see amazing views of the Alps.  We will never forget this Christmas.

Cambridge y Londres (London) - Nov 2014

Como todos los años hemos vuelto a Londres en Noviembre.  Este año se dá además la circunstancia de que ya estuvimos en Mayo.  No lo puse en el blog por falta de tiempo pero fué muy interesante y en cuanto pueda intentaré poner ese viaje. 

Fué estupendo sobretodo porque desde Mayo no había tenido vacaciones y con el cambio de puesto tuve que atrasarlas.  Por fín me pude escapar una semanita y descansar (dentro de lo que se puede en un viaje) y disfrutar.  Y sobretodo desconectar.
 

De Londres en sí no hay muchas fotos porque hemos hecho las mismas fotos muchos años y porque aprovechamos para visitar a una prima que vive cerca de Londres y para ir a Cambridge donde no íbamos desde hace mucho.

 

La excursión a Cambridge fué de las primeras cosas que hicimos nada más llegar.  Tuvimos muchísima suerte con el tiempo porque nos hizo un día bastante bueno y no muy frío.  Ya habíamos estado hace unos 10 años o así pero teníamos ganas de volver.

Visitamos un par de Colleges que fué a lo que nos dió tiempo porque cierran las visitas muy tempranos. 

 

 

 

 

 

Todo muy bonito y muy típico.  Al ser noviembre había estudiantes por todos lados.

 

De vuelta en Londres, nos gusta mucho acercarnos a Sommerset House y ver su arbol de navidad y a la gente patinando.

 

 

 

 

Southbank y Convent Garden son otra de las visitas obligadas.

 

 



 

Por supuesto vimos a la Guardia Real.

Y como no, a la Reina en ...

 

 

 

Vimos también al osito Paddington.

 



 







Estuvimos también en Liberty. Me encanta ir a su cafetería es monísima.

 

 

En una de las cafeterías de Fortum & Mason también estuvimos.  Un poco (un mucho) cara.  El chocolate que pidió mi hermana (la taza del fondo) creo que fueron unas 7 libras.  No nos dimos cuenta (ni lo imaginábamos) y tampoco es para tanto.

 

 

 

 



 

 

Y paseamos como siempre por St James Park que es una delicia en el centro de Londres.

 



 



 

As always we went back to London in November.  We went in May (2014) as well but I didn't have the time to post it on the blog although if I find the time I will because it was quite interesting.

 

It was wonderful because this summer I didn't have any holidays and when I was going to take them I went to work to another department and it was quite impossible as I have just arrived and I have to learn how everything works.  But the end of November came and I was able to take finally a week off.

 

This year a part from visiting all the main attractions in London we also went to visit a cousing who lives near London and to Cambridge.  We visited Cambridge about ten years ago or so but we wanted to visit again.  We were really lucky because the weather was quite nice and it was as cold.  We couldn't visit everything but we saw a couple of college. 

 

In London we have done more or less the same thing as always and we really went slowly this time because I wanted to enjoy and take it easy as well.  As you can see in the pictures we saw the Queen ( ; ) ) and Paddington Bear.   I must say that my favorite thing is to go for a walk in St James.  It is so nice and I just can believe it is in the middle of the city!!.
