Navidades 2012, unas navidades diferentes.

Estas navidades han sido ciertamente unas navidades diferentes.  Por unos instantes creí que serían las peores navidades de mi vida pero no ha sido así simplemente diferentes.  Hemos tenido momentos muy tristes pero también momentos muy dulces, alegres y divertidos. 

Poco después del día de Navidad nos tuvimos que despedir de mi madre. Desde octubre sabíamos que la despedida estaba cerca pero no creímos que llegaría tan pronto.  Para mí mi mayor consuelo es que ella ya descansa, que hemos hecho por ella todo lo que podíamos y que nos ha dado tiempo a decirle cuanto la queríamos y la suerte que hemos tenido de tenerla como madre. 

El resto de las Navidades la hemos dedicado a hacer cosas en familia.  Hemos ido a la playa a comer, al campo a pasear y hemos disfrutado mucho sobretodo de los peques de la familia que tanto consuelo y alegría dan en momentos así. 

Las fotos de la playa son de cerca de Marbella.  Ya os he puesto en otras ocasiones fotos del lugar porque es preciosa la vista.  Tuvimos mucha suerte porque nos hizo un día estupendo y mis sobrinos aprovecharon para jugar en la arena y disfrutar del sol.

Y estas son las fotos en Sierra Blanca cerca de Ojén.  Es el sistema montañoso que se vé desde Marbella.  No había ido nunca o por lo menos no lo recordaba y la verdad es que es precioso.  Tiene varios caminos que llevan a miradores desde donde se contemplan muy buenas vistas.

Me quedé sin fotos justo cuando llegamos al Refugio de Juanar a comer.  Una pena porque el sitio es precioso y se come muy bien. 

This Christmas were different.  I thought it was going to be the worst Christmas of my life but in the end they were just different. 

My mother passed away between Christmas and New Years Eve.  Since October we knew the end was near but we didn't expect it to be so soon.  Now I know she is finally resting in peace and I am glad and grateful that we had time to say goodbye and to tell her how much we love her and what a wonderful mother she's been to us. 

After that and because life goes on we have done some trips.  One day we went to a restaurant near the sea we know.  As you can see the views are incredible.  It is near Marbella and we had a very nice day.  My nephew and niece played with the sand and we went for a nice walk.  It is a restaurant we used to go with my mother.  I have already posted about it in my blog although I cannot remember right now the last time we went there.

We've been to the montain as well.  Sierra Blanca is a montain you can see from Marbella.  Taking the road to Ojen you arrived to this place where you can take walks and it is really beautiful as you can see.  We were very near "Refugio de Juanar" which is a small hotel in the middle of this forest. 

Libros leídos este mes: Dic, 2012

• "Fourth grave beneath my feet" de Darynda Jones
• "Fool Moon" de Jim Butcher
• "The Bridge" de Karen Kingsbury

"Fourth grave beneath my feet" es el cuarto libro de la serie Charley Davidson de Darynda Jones que he leído.  Es un libro muy entretenido de leer. La protagonista recuerda mucho a Stephanie Plum de Janet Evanovich pero aún así la serie merece la pena leerla porque como digo el libro es muy entretenido.  Tengo muchas ganas de leer el próximo libro.

"Fool Moon" de Jim Butcher es el segundo libro que leo de su serie Harry Dresden.  Estos libros siempre me cuestan un poquito empezarlos pero luego ya no puedo parar de leerlos.  Estoy pensando en estos momentos que es como Harry Potter (por lo de la magia) pero para adultos.  Mucha acción y también misterio ya que siempre hay algo que tiene que investigar y descubrir.  Lo dicho muy recomendable.

Tenía muchas ganas de leer "The Bridge" de Karen Kingsbury porque quería leer algo navideño.  Había visto en Amazon que le daban muy buena puntuación y por fín lo leí.  No me ha gustado mucho.  Me ha resultado muy aburrido y ni la historia ni los protagonistas me han dicho mucho y la historia de amor tampoco.  Además el libro es más bien una historia corta y no una novela porque son muy poquitas páginas.  De todas maneras tengo que decir que el libro no es malo es simplemente que no es para mí.  Es una cuestión de gustos.

These three are the books I have read in December.

I did like a lot "Fourth grave beneath my feet" by Darynda Jones.  Even though Charley Davidson (the main character) reminds me a lot to Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum I enjoyed reading the story and I will continue reading the series. 

"Fool Moon" by Jim Butcher is the second book of his Harry Dresden series.  I always have a bit of trouble when I start reading these books but after a few pages I cannot stop reading them because I can find in the books the things I like:  some mistery, lots of action and a part of supernatural.  I was thinking right now that Harry Dresden reminds me of Harry Potter but for adults.  No doubt I will continue reading the series.

I was looking forward to reading "The Bridge" by Karen Kingsbury because I wanted to read a Christmas story.  I didn't like it much.  First I think is a novella and not a book because it is just too short and then I couldn't care less about the characters or their love story because it wasn't very interesting. 

SAL Tralala Mode (1ª Parte)

I  finished this Tralala Cross-stitch this afternoon.  It is the first part of the SAL Mode Tralalá that I am doing with Club Tralala Love.   

Pan para el fin de semana (14/12/2012)

Cada día tengo menos tiempo por lo que últimamente me las estoy ingeniando para seguir teniendo mi pan de masa madre a tiempo para el fin de semana y que no suponga mucho esfuerzo.

Estos dos últimos fines de semana he estado haciendo el pan de masa madre de la siguiente manera.  Mezclo los ingredientes, ya sabeis yo siempre pongo las mismas cantidades, 500 gr de harina, 350 gr de agua, 10 gr de sal (dos cucharaditas) y masa madre.  No he puesto la cantidad de masa madre porque estoy variando y hay veces que echo dos cucharadas y otras que pongo unos 200 gr.  La diferencia de usar una u otra cantidad es el tiempo que hay que esperar para que el pan fermente.  Si se quiere más rapidez más masa madre recien refrescada sino ya se sabe, hace falta dejar la masa más tiempo.

Una vez tengo mezclada la masa (que no amasada) la echo en un molde tipo cake que tengo preparado con papel de horno.  Tapo el molde y ahí lo dejo hasta que lo vaya a meter en el horno.  La semana pasada lo dejé toda la noche del viernes al sábado y este fin de semana mezclé la masa antes de ir a trabajar y lo dejé todo el día fermentando hasta que llegué por la noche.

Esta no es por supuesto la mejor manera de hacer buen pan pero es la que mejor se adapta a mis horarios de estos días y el pan sigue saliendo muy bueno, no tan bonito como otros pero de sabor y textura está muy bien. 

Este es el pan de este fin de semana.  Los 500 gr de harina que llevan son:  200 gr de harina de centeno blanca y 300 gr de harina de cinco cereales que me traje de Suiza en Octubre.  La masa madre (de centeno integral) la refresqué la noche anterior porque creo que hacía dos semanas que no lo hacía.  Por esto último creo que el pan estaba sobrefermentado ya que lo dejé todo el día en la cocina.  Pero por lo demás de verdad que ha salido muy bueno.  La foto no hace justicia.

Este de abajo es el pan de la semana pasada.  Este lleva centeno integral, harina de cinco cereales y no recuerdo de si algo de harina de trigo blanca (poca cantidad si la llegué a echar).  Lleva también semilllas variadas y copos de avena.  Igualmente salió muy bueno.

These are the two tin-loaves I have baked this week and the last.  I just don't have enough time to bake bread properly so what I am doing now is to mix the ingredients (sourdough, 500 gr of flour, 350 gr. water and 10 gr salt) and let the dough rise in the oven-tin for hours, last week overnight and this week a from morning until evening) and after that I just bake them.  I think this works because the breads are made with sourdough. I don't think it can work well with yeast.  The loaves I get are not so pretty but they are as delicious as the others.

I forgot to say that for this two loaves I put rye flour and some five-cereal flour I bought last time in Switzerland, that is why they are not so white.

Libros leídos este mes: Nov, 2012

• Bitter Blood de Rachel Caine

El único libro que he sido capaz de terminar durante noviembre fué Bitter Blood de Rachel Caine.  Normalmente suelo leer por la noche antes de dormir pero últimamente estoy tan cansada que sólo soy capaz de leer un par de páginas antes de apagar la luz.

Bitter Blood es de la serie de Vampiros de Morganville de Rachel Caine.  No ha estado mal y me ha resultado fácil de leer.  La historia es entretenida y no he tenido tantos problemas como con los dos libros anteriores.  La razón creo que es principalmente porque a estas alturas no esperaba mucho y además no tengo en estos momentos ningún cariño especial a los protagonistas y por tanto me daba un poco igual lo que les pasara.  Con todo casi seguro que leeré el siguiente libro de la serie.

 

The only book I was able to finish in November was Bitter Club by Rachel Caine.  I usually read at night before going to sleep but lately I am so tired that I can only read a couple of pages.

Bitter Club is from the Morganville Vampires series.  I cannot remember if it is book twelve or thirteen.  It was OK and I didn't have any trouble reading it as I had with the previous two books.  Basically I think that at this point I didn't expect much (because I didn't like the last two books of the series) and I don't have any love for the main characters so I just don't mind what happens to them.  Anyway the story was good and I enjoyed it.  I will probably read the next book of this series.

Premio Liebster Blog

En Marzo de este año,  Ana del blog http://nacarconcolor.blogspot.com/ me dió el premio Liebster Blog que se da a aquellos blogs con menos de 200 seguidores.  Aunque llevo ya desde septiembre del 2011 con el blog, la verdad es que todavía ando bastante despistada con todo lo relativo al funcionamiento de los blogs. 

Por fín, he tenido un ratito para averiguar algo más de este premio.  Después de mirar por internet creo que esto es lo que tengo que hacer una vez me han concedido el premio:

1. Dar las gracias a la persona que da el premio.  Puse un comentario en el blog de Ana, http://nacarconcolor.blogspot.com/ dándole las gracias por el premio.  De todas maneras desde aquí, muchas gracias Ana.
2. Copiar y pegar el premio en el blog de uno.  Yo ya lo he hecho.  Copié del blog de Ana y lo he pegado aquí.
3. Lo más importante:  dar el premio a cinco blogs que tengan menos de 200 seguidores.  Además de nombrarlos en el blog, hay que ponerles un comentario a cada uno para que lo sepan. 

Este último punto es lo que me ha dado más trabajo porque me faltaba un blog por completar los cuatro que ya tenía en mi lista.  Hoy me he acordado del blog de mi amiga C.

 In March Ana from http://nacarconcolor.blogspot.com/  gave me The liebster blog award.  I thanked her but because I still don't know much about blogging, I didn't know what to do with it.  After looking in internet about this things I found what it is and what to do with it.

First of all, this is an award to blogs with less than 200 Followers.  Then once you've been given this award you  must do 3 things:

1. First of all, thanks the person who gave you the award
2. Then you copy and paste the image in your blog, so people know you've been given this award.

Crochet: donación 2012.

El año pasado me pidieron que hiciera algo para donar para una asociación.  Lo que vamos dando lo reparten principalmente entre gente mayor que están recogidos en una residencia.  Este año empecé mi proyecto en septiembre con idea de tener tiempo suficiente y no ir con prisas.  Al final todo se ha complicado y he tenido que aprovechar algunos ratitos libres para poder terminarlo a tiempo.  Hoy creo que lo acabaré porque ya estoy con el borde.  Esta semana lo entrego.  Como no sé si tendré tiempo a hacer alguna que otra foto más hoy he decido enseñaros este proyecto.  Como siempre las fotos no le hacen justicia.

Es una toquilla o chal.   El patrón es bastante sencillo y fácil de hacer y lo encontré por internet.  Es de una de esas revistas japonesas.

This crochet project is a donation.  I was asked to do something to give to a house were old people lived.  It is like a Christmas present.  I started it in September thinking I was going to have enough time but since October it has been really difficult to do some crochet. Last week is the day I have to give it.  I am now doing the outside of the shawl and I think I will be able to finish it today.
