Crochet y punto (Abril, 2014)

Si habeis visto la entrada anterior sabreis que he estado muy ocupada con excursiones y salidas así que poco tiempo ha quedado para hacer crochet o alguna que otra labor.

 

De todas maneras algo ha habido. 

 

En septiembre tenemos una boda familiar y he comprado un par de hilos con lo que me gustaría hacer dos chals.  De momento estoy probando algún que otro patrón y dibujo. Tengo que seguir probando porque no acabo de decidirme.

 

 

Empecé una bufanda con una lana que tenía comprada del año pasado para mi hermana.  Yo tengo una bufanda de la misma lana que hice el año pasado.  Como veis lo más simple.

 

La lana es un gustazo.  Es muy esponjosa y los colores (que en la foto no salen bien) son preciosos.  Vamos a ver si lo termino antes del verano o después porque de repente ha llegado el calor, mucho calor, y hay muchas ganas de trabajar con lana.  Pero aquí está.

If you have seen my last post you already know that I have not much time lately.  That means that I haven't done much crochet or any other thing like that.  I have a family wedding in September and I wanted to make two shawls. I bought the thread but I still looking for a pattern to suit the colours and textures.  The fist two pictures is of some pattern I have been trying.  We'll see because I am still looking around.  I started a scarf too.  I have this yarn from last year.  I had already knitted a scarf for me with this yarn and this scarf will be for my sister.  The yarn is beautiful. It is a pity you cannot see the colours as they are.  I am knitting the most simple pattern as you can see.  I am still not sure if I will finish it before summer because suddenly it is really hot here and it is not so pleasant to touch wool anymore.  We'll see.

Marzo, Abril, .... (2014)

Mi amiga C me estaba preguntando el otro día que que pasaba con mi blog que no estaba publicando nada nuevo.  Y es que se me pasan los días y las semanas y los meses que no me doy cuenta. Durante la semana está el trabajo, el gimnasio y las obligaciones del día a día, y los fines de semana  ....

- uno fuimos a Sevilla como habeis visto en el post anterior.

- otro fuimos a Marbella.  Ultimamente sólo ibamos al centro comercial y a Puerto Banús pero a Marbella pueblo hacía muchísimo que no ibamos y nos ha gustado mucho porque el pueblo está precioso.

- otro fin de semana fuimos a Basilea (Basel) a visitar a la familia.  Con los niños fuimos el sábado al Zoo.  Hacía años que no iba a un zoo y me encantó.

 - y también visitamos el museo del papel con los niños.  Me encantó.  Nos enseñaron ha hacer papel con la celulosa y la prensa y muchas cosas más relacionadas con el papel y la imprenta.  Muy divertido y educativo a la vez.

- otro fin de semana fuimos a la playa a comer. Ya sabeis lo que nos gusta Nerja y la playa de Burriana. 

 



 



 

 

El Ayo es un buen sitio para tomarse una paella.

 

 

Pero el postre nos lo tomamos en el Parador de Nerja.

 

 

 

Y antes de volver a Málaga fuimos con el coche a ver las vista desde Maro.

 





Y por último fué Semana Santa y en Málaga se celebra por todo lo alto.  Las fotos son del Viernes Santo. 

 

 My friend C was asking me the other day about my blog.  She was asking me why I wasn't posting much these days.  And it is true.  Time really flies. Days, weeks and months go really fast for me these days.  The thing is that during week I have to go to work, to the gym and then do some cooking, some cleaning ...etc. And on weekends... Well on weekends we have been going out quite a lot as you can see in all the pictures I have posted.  We have been to Basel (Switzerland), to Marbella, to Nerja, to Seville, shopping and we have enjoyed Easter week which in Málaga is very big and special time.  I must say that I have been enjoying myselft quite a lot : )

 

 

 

Sevilla (Marzo, 2014)

Hace un mes que estuvimos en Sevilla y no he tenido tiempo de subir las fotos que hice ese día.

 

 

 

 

Hacía tiempo que no ibamos por Sevilla y la primavera es la mejor época para ir allí ya que no todavía tanto calor y además cuando nosotros fuimos fué justo antes de Semana Santa así que se pueden ver las imágenes en algunas de las iglesias.

 

 

 

Nos hizo un día impresionante: despejado, con sol y algo de calor.  Empezamos nuestro paseo por el barrio de Santa Cruz y de ahí llegamos a la Catedral y por tanto a la Giralda.  A los Reales Alcázares no entramos esta vez pero yo si entré hace un par de años y es precioso.

 

 

 

Mi hermana estuvo trabajando y viviendo en Sevilla hace años y siempre que vamos es nuestra guía.  Después de llevarnos por calle Sierpes fuimos a visitar San Judas Tadeo.  Acaban de poner la imagen del Cristo ya que la visita a Sevilla fué un par de fines de semana antes de Semana Santa.

 

Seguimos paseando hasta llegar al Puente de Triana.  Comimos en Triana al lado del río.

Para terminar nuestra visita a Sevilla nos dimos un pequeño homenaje y tomamos té en el Hotel Alfonso XIII.  El hotel es impresionante y el patió donde nos sentamos es un pequeño oasis.

Nos hemos quedado con muchas ganas de volver a Sevilla porque nos ha faltado tiempo.  En fín no estamos nada lejos de Sevilla así que no me queda duda de que volveremos.

In March we went to Seville.  Seville is a couple of hours by car from Málaga so it is quite near.  We usually visit Seville at least once a year.  Spring is for me the best time to go because it is not as hot as summer. In Summer is really hot day and night. Seville is a very beautiful city.  It has got a lot to offer.  There are many monuments.  You can do a lot of shopping if you like.  And just walking around is fun because the city in itself is quite something.   My sister lived and worked in Seville some years ago and she is always our guide in the city.  So she took us around Santa Cruz neighbourghood until we arrived to the Cathedral and the Giralda.  Then we went woking Sierpes street that is a long street with lots of shops.  We visited San Judas Tadeo church.  It is very typical to buy candles and light them praying to San Judas.  We had lunch in Triana that is a neighbourghood across the river Guadalquivir.  Before going back to Malaga we had tea in Alfonso XIII Hotel.  Its patio is like a small oasis in the middle of Sevilla. We didn't have time enough for Seville but we will be back for sure.

Crochet: marzo 2014

Como ya sabeis no estoy haciendo mucho crochet ni muchas labores pero de vez en cuando algo hago.  Hace un par de meses haciendo cuadritos grannys con las lanas de colores que compré hace un par de años dí con un cuadrito que me gustó mucho para hacer una mantita.

 

 

Y seguí haciendo cuadritos y pegándolos.  En estos momentos tengo un trozo de 2 x 8 cuadros grannies.  Creo que añadiré dos columnas más hasta completar 2 x 10 y luego iré añadiendo filas hasta el largo que más o menos quiera.  Quedará una manta más o menos apañada.

 

 

 

 

 

 

De igual manera he dado con otro tipo de cuadrito que me encanta.  Este no va tan adelantado y esto es lo que hay por ahora:

 

 

 

 

Además estoy siguiendo con la manta blanca que empecé el año pasado.  Poquito a poco seguro que algún día la termino.

As I said before I am not doing much this year.  Still I do some crochet when I can.  This year I started two granny blankets.  I was doing some grannies with all yarns I bought two years ago and I came across the first granny with the blues and the red.  I loved it and I continued making them.  Right now I have joined 16 of them (2 x 8).  I also loved the second granny square with the blue, red and white.  I haven't done much of them but I will continue because I think it could be a very pretty blanket.  I am also still doing some progress with the white blanket I started last year. And this is all for now in the crochet department. : )

 









Un agradable fin de semana.

El fin de semana pasado tuvimos muy buena temperatura en Málaga y había que aprovecharlo así que el viernes nos fuimos a andar cerca del mar.  Y la verdad es que es todo un lujo porque no solo hicimos ejercicio sino que además disfrutamos de las vistas del atardecer.

 

 

 

 

En esta última foto de arriba lo que se ve al fondo es la luna.  Luna llena.  Era curioso ver como toda la gente que había por el paseo marítimo se paraban a mirar la vista. Un verdadero disfrute.

 

Por cierto que después del ejercicio nos fuimos a la tetería de San Agustín (cerca de la Catedral) a tomarnos un té y un trozo de tarta.  La noche era tan buena que nos pudimos sentar en la calle sin pasar frío.

 

 

 

La tarta estaba buenísima.  Tienen todo tipo de tés, batidos e infusiones.  Yo como ya era tarde pedí una infusión de hierbaluisa y menta que estaba muy rica.  Mi hermana pidió té pakistaní que es uno de los más populares de la tetería. 

 

El sábado aprovechamos de nuevo para dar otro paseo y disfrutar de Málaga y se nos ocurrió subir al Hotel Málaga Palacio (ahora creo que tiene otro nombre).  Tiene una terraza en el último piso y hay muy buenas vistas de Málaga.  La pena es que se nubló y hacía frío.  Otro día que haga bueno volveré a subir porque es que está muy bien.

 

 

La última foto, la de la palmera es de nuestro paseo de vuelta a casa.  Como veis en la foto se quitaron todas las nubes y se puso de nuevo una tarde espectacular.



 





 

Last weekend we had a couple of days with really nice temperature.  I know here it is not as cold in winter as in other places but it is still winter.  So when last friday I left work and saw what a beautiful and warm day (25ºC) we had it was obvious that we had to enjoy it.  So around six o'clock (evening) we dedided to go for a walk.  It is a luxury to be able to do some exercise and enjoy these incredible views of the bay of Málaga.  In one or two of the photos you can even see the moon.  Yes, we were sooo lucky that it was full moon and it was an spectacular view.  People around us just stopped to see the moon coming out, incredibly orange and big.   It was fantastic.  After we arrived to the center of Málaga we decided to go for a tea to a place that is really near the cathedral.  It is known as "Tetería de San Agustín"  (sorry but I cannot remember the real name).  Just to say it is between Picasso Museum and the Cathedral.  They have lots of different tea and herbal tea and of course some cakes too.  It was already dark when we arrived but it wasn't cold at all and we sat in the street.  I had a herbal tea (lemongrass and mint) and my sister had pakistani tea which is very popular there.  We had a sacher cake too as you can see in the picture.
