Mantas, Mantas y más mantas (crochet)

 

 

Este post viene con muuuuucho retraso.  Lo iba a ver publicado después de navidades ya que son dos regalos de Reyes.  Y es que vaya (como decimos por aquí) "pechá" de trabajar que me dí el mes de diciembre para tener terminadas estas dos mantas a crochet. Una para mi padre y la otra para mi hermana.  Creí que no lo conseguiría pero ahí están.

 

Los cuadritos ya los habeis visto en el blog anteriormente porque los empecé a hacer el año pasado. 

Aunque ya tenía algunos empezados cuando me propuse terminar las dos mantas para navidades todavía me faltaban muchos cuadritos. Cada manta han sido 64 cuadritos granny y además el borde.  He estado haciendo cuadritos grannys en todos lados.  Allí iba yo con mi bolsita y las lanas a hacer cuadritos.  Sobretodo los bordes. En fin no me puedo quejar mucho porque ha sido muy agradable.

 

Y bueno, poquito a poco pude terminar las dos mantas a tiempo.  No son muy grandes, es decir, no son colchas para una cama, son como para tenerlas en el sofá o en un sillón.  Las dos son cuadradas (8 filas x 8 columnas) y una mide 120 cm más o menos y la otra unos 115 cm.

 

 

Me gusta mucho como han salido las dos mantas.  La combinación de colores me encanta. Es muy de invierno.

 

 

 

 

Las mantas como veis no tienen ninguna dificultad y con los bordes tampoco me compliqué.  Ha sido un proyecto para relajarse y disfrutar, sin estar pendiente de patrones o historias.

 

Las lanas son de la marca Katia. Son sintéticas y son baratas. 

 

 



 

Cuando estuve en Londres en Noviembre encontré una cinta muy mona con la que decoré mis dos regalos.

 

 

 

Y el título es mantas, mantas y más mantas.  Sí, hay una tercera manta pero ya la pondré otro día en otro post.

 

These are two blankets I made as Christmas Presents.  One blanket was for my sister and the other one for my father.  I have started making granny squares last year but when in Autumn I decided I wanted to finished both of them for Christmas I still had lots of granny squares to make.  In the end and after working really hard I was able to finised them in time.  I have been making squares everywhere, some places I can complaint about : ).  They both are not very big, they are just for the sofa or for an armchair.  They have 64 squares (each) plus the border. I love the colour combination, it is so nice for winter.  It was a very easy project and all I wanted was to relax and have a nice time without worring about colours combination or following a pattern.  I found a nice ribbon for my presents last time I went to London.  It was perfect.  My dad and my sister are both happy with their blankets.  There is one more blanket but I will published it the blog as soon as I finished it.  Almost forgot to say that the yarns are Katia and they are quite cheap. Hope you like it.



Labores y más y más lanas

El martes fuí al centro de Málaga a comprar un par de cosas que me hacían falta.  Llevaba tiempo queriendo pasarme por la tienda de las lanas (Cinco Bolas) a ver si tenían más colores para completar las lanas que compré en el mes de febrero.  Encontré estos tres.  Hoy la luz no es muy buena porque está nublado y lloviendo así que la foto no refleja muy bien los colores.  Pero estas son las tres madejas.  Por cierto que siguen estando en oferta.

El mismo martes cuando llegué me puse a combinarlas con los otros colores.  Saqué la foto de abajo para que no se me olvide el orden de los colores para cuando vaya a hacer los cuadritos.

El verde clarito con la etiqueta es una de las madejas nuevas.

Mi cesta está a tope de lanas de colores.

Me gustaría dedicarle más tiempo a los cuadritos que estoy haciendo con estas lanas pero es qué me falta tiempo para todo lo que quiero hacer.  Menos mal que prisa no tengo.

También compré estas lanas.  Son de algodón y son preciosas.  Me encantan los colores.  Creo que son muy veraniegos.  Todavía no sé muy bién que saldrá de ellos.

También estuve probando otro diseño auqnue el de arriba me gusta mucho más.

Estas madejas que veis abajo también son nuevas. Verde botella las de arriba y gris plateado las de abajo. 



Con las verdes, que son de algodón y es un hilo finito, tengo ya una idea de lo que quiero hacer.  De momento estoy viendo diversos patrones que le puedan ir bien a esta lana.  

Las grises plateadas ya las estoy utilizando para la labor que veis abajo.  Como siempre no estoy del todo segura de como quedará el resultado final.  Me gustaría acabarlo durante esta semana que viene.  No sé si seré capaz o tendré tiempo.  Ya veremos.

On Tuesday I had to buy somethings in Málaga (downtown).  One of the things I wanted to do was visit the yarn shop.  I wanted to look for more colours to combine with the yarns I bought in February.  I found three yarns, they appeared in the first picture.   I am enjoying making granny squares.  I wish I had more time to work on them but I want to do so many things that there's not so much time for everything.  Well I think I am lucky I don't have to finish the granny squares on a particularly date.  Some of the pictures I took so I dont' forget how to combine them for some squares.

I also bought more yarn.  Nice cotton yarn for the summer.  I love the colours.  I just don't know what will come out of this six cotton yarn but I have already playing with them.

The last yarns are the green and light grey ones.  I have already started something with the grey one.  I still don't know if it is going to come out ok, I am always doubting myselft while on a projet.  I would like to finish it this next week.  We will see if I can do it. 

I have an idea of what I want to do with the green ones.  They are a very nice light cotton.  I am still looking patterns for what I want to do with them.



Pedido de lanas

La semana pasada hice un pedido de lanas a una tienda inglesa: Hulucrafts.  Encontré en su página las lanas Rico que estoy utilizando para los cojines de ochos.  Necesitaba más de estas lanas para la parte trasera de los cojines.

También tenían madejas Rico Alpaca. Había comprado cuatro de éstas durante el viaje a Londres de Noviembre e igualmente al final me decidí a pedir cuatro más aprovechando que esta tienda las tenía.  Estoy haciendo otro cojín con estas lanas.

He aprovechado también para pedir cuatro madejas de algodón de la misma marca.  Estas son las mismas que utilicé para la manta de cuadros y las que estoy utilizando para hacer el cojín a rayas para verano. 





Me he quedado muy sorprendida por la rapidez en que han llegado las lanas.  Hice el pedido el día 20 de marzo, el martes pasado.  Hay varias opciones a escoger en cuanto a transporte y yo escogí la más barata.  Este lunes, día 26 de marzo a las 10 de la mañana ya teníamos el paquete en casa. 

Last week I found that in Hulucrafts (an internet yarn shop based in the U.K.) they had some yarns I was looking for.  The yarns in question where Rico Organic, Rico Alpaca and Rico Cotton.  With Rico Organic I made the cable cushion (the one in the photo).  I need more to knit the back part of the cushion.  Rico Alpaca yarns were some of the yarns I bought when I went to Bath in November.  I am using them to make another knitted cushion as well and again I needed more for the back.  Because I am using cotton yarn for the striped summer cushion and it is very similar to Rico cotton yarns, I asked for more of them just in case I didn't have enough.

Well, I am very happy with my order from Hulucrafts.  I was amazed because I ordered it on March 20 and I have received it on March 26.  Just a week from U.K. to Malaga, Spain, and I had choosen the cheapest transport option.  It is very nice when things go this well.
