Trapillo x 3 (crochet)

Creí que ya había subido al blog los dos bolsos a trapillo que he hecho este verano pero hoy que he entrado al blog para contestar un comentario me acabo de dar cuenta de que no. Perfecto porque hacía tiempo que no publicaba nada y esto me gustaría mucho subirlo al blog. Bueno pues aquí están mis dos bolsos de trapillo de este verano:

El primero es trapillo de algodón de la marca Katia. Es un gustazo trabajar con el y además no pesa y eso sí es algo caro. A este bolso le puse una tela de gitana de lunares rosa dentro. Me costó un poquito coserlo al trapillo pero ha quedado fenomenal.  

El segundo bolso lo hice con trapillo del chino.  Es más barato y es algo elástico pero pesa un poquito más que el otro. No le he hecho un forro de momento.  En lugar de botones le he puesto un botón de estos imantados (no se como se llama) y un corazón que encontré en una tienda de abalorios para collares y pulseras.  Igualmente estoy muy contenta con el resultado.

Aunque no es un bolso, le hice a mi hermana una funda de trapillo para su tablet. Es como podéis ver de un amarillo precioso y muy vivo. Yo me hice el año pasado una funda igual en rojo para la tablet. 

I totally forgot to publish this two small bags I did this summer with these big ribbons. Well three bags, although the yellow one was for my sister's new tablet.  The pink and the yellow ones are from Katia yarn.  They are both cotton and with bright colours. It is a very nice ribbon and doesn't weight too much.  The other bag is made with ribbon I bought in a chinese cheap shop. It is cheaper and kind of elastic but weight a bit more than the others.  The small heart was bought from a shop that sells things to make neklaces and bracelets.  I am quite happy with my bags. I will probably give one of them as a present.

Un par de tacitas

La semana pasada, dando una vuelta por Pinterest vi una tacita en crochet que me encantó. Por suerte el patrón estaba disponible (en inglés). Le eché un vistazo y me puse a ello. Al final he  hecho dos: una para mi y otra para mi hermana. La mía ya la estoy utilizando de alfiletero.

Last week I was looking around Pinterest when I saw a little crochet cup. I loved it. I looked the pattern and started it right away.  In the end I have made two. They are so easy to make. One is for me and the other is for my sister. I am already using mine as a pin cushion.

Mi primer calcetín a punto.

Esta no es la mejor estación para publicar la entrada de unos calcetines de lana y más con estos calores pero aquí están. 

Hace tiempo que tenía ganas de aprender a hacer calcetines a punto y buscando un día por internet encontré un video del montado mágico para hacer calcetines utilizando una aguja circular. Seguí las instrucciones de video y la puntera ya estaba lista. A partir de ahí fui siguiendo un patrón que tenía desde hace tiempo y para el talón volví a youtube y después de ver un par de videos y tomando alguna precaución fui capaz de terminar el calcetín.  Luego tuve que hacer el par que creo me ha salido un pelín más largo (con los calores no debí de contar bien). No han salido perfectos porque el punto no es lo mío pero no están mal. Ya seguiré practicando en otoño o invierno.

These are the first socks I have made knitting. This time of the year is not the best for knitting socks, it is too hot but I wanted to try something new and I always wanted to learn to knit socks.  I learnt after watching a couple of videos in youtube and following a pattern I found from internet. The second sock I made is longer than the first, it is what happens when it is too hot.

Pan para esta semana

Ya comenté en el blog que como ahora paso menos tiempo en casa cuando hago pan aprovecho para hacer más cantidad. Congelo enseguida y tengo pan para un par de semanas.

El viernes dedique la mañana a hacer pan.  Hice una hogaza y bollitos de dos clases: tipo molletes y como para hamburguesa. Para los molletes y la hogaza hice la misma masa utilizando además de harina de fuerza y un poco de semolina, harina recia que es una harina de trigo típica de aquí de Málaga. El resultado es un pan cateto (la hogaza) y unos molletes. Para los bollitos como para hamburguesas puse leche en lugar de agua, y mitad de la harina de fuerza y mitad panadera. Es más o menos la misma receta que para hacer pan de molde. Salen unos bollitos muy blanditos.  Casi se me olvida comentar que esta vez utilicé levadura fresca en lugar de masa madre.

Last Friday I spent the morning baking a loaf and some rolls.  Theses days I go out a lot and so when I bake bread I bake a bit more. This way I can freeze some and have bread for a couple of weeks. There are two types of rolls: the one on the left we called them "molletes" and they are made using wheat flour typical from Málaga called "recia". The loaf is from the same dough as these rolls. The rolls from the right of the photo were made with strong flour, plain flour and milk instead of water. These rolls are quite soft and they are good for burgers. This time I used fresh yeast for all types of bread. 

Mi mantita.

A estas alturas y con el calor que ya tenemos casi que no pega subir mi mantita al blog.  La tengo acabada desde hace más de un mes excepto por los flecos que quedan en la parte de atrás. De tamaño es igual que las que les regalé a mi hermana y a mi padre en Navidades. 

Tres mantas acabadas este año! Creo que no está mal.

This blanket is mine.  It is the third blaket I made (finished) this year and is for me. I did already make two this year: one for my sister and for my father for Christmas. I am really happy about it. I finished almost two months ago but I am still dealing with loose ends. The thing is that it is already hot here in Málaga and I don't think I'am going to use it until October or November so I will probably store it until then.

Pan x 2

Hace tiempo que no subo mis panes al blog.  Sigo haciendo pan aunque no todas las semanas porque con el nuevo horario de tarde y que paro menos en casa pues no siempre encuentro el tiempo para ello.  Lo que si que estoy haciendo es cada dos o tres semanas cuando hago pan es hacer más cantidad y congelar para tener siempre de mi pan.

El domingo aproveché que no iba a ninguna parte y con mi masa madre bien alimentada hice dos hogazas de pan.

Aquí está la primera. Masa madre de centeno, harina candeal y harina de fuerza.

Y aquí  la segunda. Esta lleva masa madre de centeno, harina inglesa granary (que lleva granos de cereales y algo de malta) y harina de fuerza.  

Lately I haven't posted any photos of the breads (loaves) I usually make. I continue baking bread but now not every week. I don't seem to find the time this year as I am working afternoons and evenings and I am not at home that much in weekends. I am baking every two weeks or so. Now instead of baking one loaf I bake two or one big loaf and rolls, so I can freeze them. These both loaves are made with rye sourdough (no yeast).

Semana Santa 2015

Creo que ha sido la Semana Santa que más he salido en los últimos años.  En principio ha ayudado el que he trabajado un par de horas por las tardes y justo cuando he salido del trabajo ya había alguna que otra procesión por la calle.  Además ha hecho muy buen tiempo.  Y luego he tenido algún día de vacaciones lo cual tampoco ha estado nada mal. 

Aquí os dejo algunas fotos de estos días pasados. 



En Málaga tenemos procesiones desde el Domingo de Ramos hasta el Viernes Santo.  Varias cofradías cada día sacan sus tronos a la calle, normalmente hay un trono con el Cristo y otro con la Virgen.  Antes de cada trono van los nazarenos, y cada cofradía lleva túnicas de colores distintos.  También van bandas de música que este año nos han encantado.

Hay un recorrido oficial por donde hay sillas y tribunas desde donde ver las procesiones.  Nosotros lo probamos un año y aunque es cómodo nos gusta más verla desde la calle e ir buscando las procesiones de una calle a otra.

Es muy espectacular ver algunas de las procesiones. Y es una tradición muy arraigada sobretodo en Andalucía. Participan tanto adultos como niños.

La Estrella, la Paloma, Mena, los Viñeros, el Cautivo, el Rocío .... son los nombres de algunas cofradías.

Algo que me encanta es el paso que llevan los tronos.  El paso es la manera en la que se mueve el trono.  A veces es como si el Cristo o la Virgen estuvieran caminando.

Las iglesias se preparan unos días antes y en ellas se pueden ver los tronos de cerca.

Algo muy importante es el tiempo.  Este año hemos tenido muchísima suerte porque ha hecho muy bueno durante toda la semana y no ha llovido ningún día.  Si llueve no hay procesiones. 

Well this is Easter in Málaga.  We called it Semana Santa.  From Sunday to Friday there are many "procesiones" each day.  They started around 6 p.m and finished late at night.  It is a very old tradition and people like to go to the streets to see them and some to participated in them as "nazarenos" (the ones with the hood) or loading the "tronos" with the Christ or the Virgins.  It is something really impresive sometimes.  Some of the "tronos" are really big.  There are also bands playing music.  This year they were really good.  There are also military parades accompanying the images of a Christ or a Virgin, the "legionarios" soldiers are really very famous and the parade on Thursday it is probably one of the biggest thing in the week. The weather is very important because if it rained there are no "procesiones" at all.  The images are some of them really old and they could suffer damage.  This year we were really lucky because it was really nice, warm and sunny.  It was a wonderful week.
