El cumpleaños de mi hermana

Hoy ha sido el cumpleaños de mi hermana.  Ha habido regalos y, por supuesto, tarta de cumpleaños.

Estos son mis regalos.

La tarta no la he hecho yo.  Todavía no me quedan así de bien.  Creo que tengo que practicar más.  Es una tarta sacher, y es la favorita de mi hermana. 



Mi hermana es supergolosa, así que aquí van algunas cosillas para endulzarse la vida.  

Por cierto, que la tarjeta de felicitación es de mi madre para ella.  Mi madre tiene por costumbre hacernos tarjetas preciosas y muy especiales para nuestros cumpleaños. 

Y estos son mis dos regalos:

Un bolso para este verano.

Y una bufandita veraniega.

El maniquí es mi hermana.    

Los regalos han sido una sorpresa ya que no se esperaba nada por el estilo.  La bufanda la terminé anoche mismo.  Me tuve que dar prisa y envolver todo muy bien, incluído los chocolates.  Quería haberle hecho también masa de cookies americanas, porque lo lleva pidiendo un montón de tiempo, pero ayer no pudo ser.  Así que esto se lo debo y queda pendiente.

Creo que ha pasado un buen día y un buen cumpleaños.  Qué cumplas muchos más hermanita ( y yo que los vea).

Today was my sister's birthday.  There were presents (mine are the one in the first photo) and birthday cake as well.

I didn't bake the cake.  I am not that good yet although if I practice a lot I may be able to make something like that one day : ) .  The cake is a Sacher Cake.  It is her favorite cake. 

My sister likes chocolates and sweets a lot.  So there were some sweet things as presents as well.  They are mine for her.  In this picture there is a birthday card.  That's is from my mother and she made it.  My mother always makes us beautiful and special cards for our birthdays..  She put a lot of work in the cards.   I cannot show you the inside because she makes them personals.  I think it is really a lovely thing and something to remember.

My other two presents were the bag, a summer bag, and a scarf for the summer as well.  I made both of them and I am quite happy with the result. I finished the scarf yesterday evening.  My sister is the person on both photographs. 

The only thing I couldn't give her, but I will, is cookie dough, american cookie dough.  She's been asking for this for quite a while.  She will freeze it and the bake them whenever she likes.  I just didn't have the time to make the dough yesterday, but I will as soon as I can.
