Mi nueva manta

Ayer noche acabé mi nueva manta.  Estoy super contenta de como ha quedado.  El color es una preciosidad y es una pena que no salga bien en las fotos.

 

 

 

Esta manta es muy especial porque la empecé en otoño cuando mi madre se puso enferma.  Como ya sabía que iba a pasar mucho tiempo en casa de mis padres, quería tener una labor a crochet para dejarla allí.  No quería que fuera algo complicado, quería algo lo más sencillo posible.  Así que elegí el patrón más fácil que hay, el del cuadrito granny, y un color bonito (nada de complicarse con combinaciones a color) y listo.  

 

 

Como he estado muy entretenida con las labores de punto de cruz y con el día a día, creí que no la terminaría antes del verano y que se quedaría para el otoño.  Además aquí en Málaga en cuanto entran los calores no hay ganas de tocar lana sólo algodón.  Pero al final entre un SAL de punto de cruz y otro, y que el calor todavía no ha llegado (salvo por un par de días)  me he puesto y ya está terminada.

 

 

 

Casi se me olvida comentar (y esta es una nota para mi támbién) es que la manta mide 1,37 cm tanto de alto como de lado.  La lana que he utilizado es de Lanas Stop.  Creo que han sido unas 10 madejas. 

 

 

 

 

Por cierto que ayer después de acabar esta manta ya empecé otra. Ya os pondré otro día la foto : ).

 

 

 

This is my new blanket.  I finished it last night and here it is.  It is a pity I don't know how to take a good picture so you can see the real colour because it is beautiful.  I love my new blanket. 

 

This project has been real special to me because I started it in Autumn when my mother got sick.  I wanted to have some crochet at her house because I knew I was going to be expending a lot of time there.  I wanted also something really pretty and easy so it could be very relaxing to do.  In the end I have done a really big granny square and using only one colour.  So no stress with colour combinations or with the pattern.  I love the yarn and the colour.  I had fallen in love with this colour two years ago but I had so many things going on that I didn't buy it until this Autumn. 

 

For a while I thought I wasn't going to finish this blanket before the summer.  I have been doing so many cross-stitch SALs and been also a bit distracted with other things that I could never find enough time to crochet this project. Then here in Málaga in Spring is usually quite hot and one doens't feel like touching wool at all.  But in end, it is still not that hot to do some crochet with wool and after I finished my last SAL I had to wait for the new pattern so finally I got the extra time I needed and finished the blanket.

 

I must say that eventhough I finished it last night I started another blanket right away.  I show a photo of it another day : ).
