El domingo pasado mi hermana y yo volamos a París. No es la primera vez ni la segunda que vamos. La última vez fué en el 2010. París es una ciudad grande, bella y espectacular y siempre tiene muchísimas sitios nuevos por descubrir. Lo bueno de volver a una ciudad que ya hemos visitado es que uno no tiene que volver a ver todos los lugares más turísticos que normalmente es visita obligada la primera vez y nos podemos permitir el lujo de llevar otro ritmo, de pasear, de pararnos a descansar en un parque, de sentarnos en una iglesia y disfrutar del ensayo de un coro, o simplemente pararnos a tomar un dulce o un café sin las prisas de tener que verlo todo antes de volver a España.
Estas fotos son de nuestro primer día en París.
Siempre empezamos dando un paseo por Louvre y recorriendo los Jardines de las Tullerias. Como vereis en las fotos el tiempo no era espectacular pero creedme si os digo que me alegré mucho del fresquito que hacía ya que cuando el taxi me vino a recoger a las 5 de la mañana hacía 27ºC en Málaga. Mucho calor.
Desde aquí fuimos andando al Grand Palais. Es uno de esos sitios que todavía no habiamos visitado y teníamos ganas de ver. El Grand Palais es un edificio extraño y curioso a la vez.
El techo es en su major parte de cristal y el edificio está practicamente vacío salvo por exposiciones temporales.
El edificio es enorme.
Esto de aquí abajo es lo que estaban exponiendo. No le presté mucho la atención porque lo que de verdad llamó mi atención fué el edificio.
Y después del Gran Palais fuiemos al Petit Palais. Lo conocíamos por fuera pero no habíamos entrado nunca. Nos ha encantado. Tiene una exposición permanente de pintura que a mí me ha gustado mucho. Y luego lo que más nos ha gustado ha sido la cafetería que da a un patio interior precioso.
El domingo terminamos nuestra visita en los Campos Eliseos. Domingo por la tarde había muchísima gente. Las tiendas estaban todas abiertas. Llegamos andando hasta el Arco del Triunfo.
La vuelta al hotel fué en Metro porque estabamos ya super cansandas.
This year, my sister and me, we went back to Paris. It is not the first time and it is not our second, we've been there a few times already but I find that a place as big, beatiful and espectacular as Paris deserves visiting it many times. I also like that when one goes back to a place one can take time to enjoy it more as one doesn't have to visit all touristic places again. This time we had time to really enjoy it, to go more slowly, time to sit in a church and listen the organ or a chorus, time to sit in a park and have a picnick, time to enjoy a coffee or a cake from a Patisserie, time to just walk around the city.... I really did like this.
Most of the time we started walking around the Louvre Museum. It is very near our hotel. We like walking through "Jardin des tuilleres". If you notice the weather wasn't that good, but believe me when I say that I liked that it was a bit cold as when we took our taxi at 5 o'clock in the morning, the temperature in Málaga was 27º C and really dry. So having to put a jacket on was quite nice.
First thing we visited was the Grand Palais. We have never gone inside and this time we wanted to visit it. It is a really big building and it is for the most part empty. I thought the inside was weird but interesting. They celebrated exhibitions there but for me the most interesting thing was the building itself.
After that we went to the Petit Palais that it is just infront of the Grand Palais. Again, this was the first time we went inside. I did really like this one. It was beautiful inside. Best thing is a bar with view to the beautiful patio you can see in the pictures. There's a permantent exhibition with lots of paintings about Paris. I did like this as well. Best of all is that is free to go inside.
To end this day we took a walk from Avenue des Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe. It was Sunday and the shops were opened so there were lots and lots of people. And after walking so much we took the tube or underground and went back to our hotel. By then we were really tired.
